MAW Project
KA2
About Us
This work is the result of an international cooperation promoted by the Lycée des Métiers Alexandre Denis: the three schools involved, the Lycée in France, the “Aviation Academy” in Serbia and the Aeronautical Technical Institute “A. Ferrarin ”in Italy, for years they have guided the steps of their students towards all professions in the aeronautical field.
The lack of a specific glossary of aeronautical terms translated into English, the need to improve our pedagogical methods, the desire for an intercultural exchange that improves the knowledge of the English language led us to start the collaboration in the Multilingual Aeronautics World project.
A technical glossary of English, developed from the collection of CLIL lessons from three different countries, will be a fundamental tool for our students.
The three schools will develop CLIL lessons based on their diverse and complementary characteristics, training and specificities of their educational system, offering diverse and enriching approaches to the field of aviation.
These Clil lessons will be the ground for an English technical glossary that translates the terms into Italian, Serbian and French.
The glossary will be innovative in its being in digital format.
We would like to create a tool that is free, easy to use, accessible on multiple media (laptop, tablet, smartphone) and as comprehensive as possible.
The number of words in the database will change and increase from year to year and will obviously continue to evolve after this project.
Not only does it provide the translation of the searched word, but includes its definition and use in context to aid understanding.
It can be used anywhere, in the office, in the workshop, on the asphalt, where the professional needs it and is easily accessible from a computer or smartphone, providing the missing vocabulary in seconds and at any time.
There is no limit to the number of words in the lexical database.
There is no limit to the number of users.
The digital glossary is for all people related to aeronautics
