Lycée des Métiers Alexandre Denis

Lycée des Métiers Alexandre Denis, located in a semi-rural area, in Essonne (91) offers a range of training courses in the fields of bodywork, automobile mechanics, road transport management, aeronautics and logistics. In 2019, is it has become a Comprehensive High School. With the opening of tenth grade general classes and the opening of an HND class in aeronautics, our high school has expanded its training. The diplomas go from the ninth grade Preparatory to the Professions to the Complementary Mention via the NVQ and the Baccalaureate. Our school welcomes 520 students, including 200 interns, mainly in the aerospace sector. Some students in general education will also be interns. Our Lycée is also associated to a device called "Boarding school Achievement". Students are divided into the following sectors: -Aeronautics: avionics and system, and general aviation (three vocational Baccalaureate), one AA NVQ(aeronautical avionics), a complementary mention (turbine, piston or avionics) -Logistics (a Professional Baccalaureate, a LO / Logistics Operator NVQ) -Truck driving (a Professional Baccalaureate, training for cars and lorries driving licences) - Auto Mechanics (a Professional Bachelor's degree, a NVQ) -Automotive body (a Professional Bachelor's degree, a NVQ) The school has the PART 147 approval. This approval is awarded by the DGAC( French Civil Aviation Authority) with an annual audit by the OSAC (Civil Aviation Monitoring Organization) enabling us to deliver training and examination certificates allowing the person with professional experience to obtain aeronautical licenses and to have access to specific aeronautical sector responsibilities such as authorizing the reinstatement of an airplane. Lycée des Métiers Alexandre Denis has multiple partnerships that anchor professional education in a dynamic entrepreneurial network. Through GRETA, it offers adult-oriented training in all sectors of the school: 40 to 50 trainees per year in continuing education, that is to say 10% of the students of the school. Labeled Lycée des métiers, High school of trades since 2002, renewed in September 2018, it is committed to reconciling vocational training and cultural openness, awareness of environmental issues and citizen reflection. As a result, European openness is one of its main objectives, included in the pedagogical contract.For several years now we have been taking our students beyond our borders : London for 8 years, Brussels in 2016, Durham in 2017, Berlin in 2018, Belgrade in 2018-2019 and this year Italy and Portugal to gradually forge mobility and offer our learners and staff new perspectives. Since 2015, a European section has been developing.
